We accept a range of military education benefits to help make your beauty education as affordable as possible. Whether you're an active-duty service member, a veteran, or a military spouse, we have options designed for you.

GI Bill®

The GI Bill provides education benefits to eligible veterans, service members, and their dependents. Paul Mitchell The School Salt Lake City is approved to accept GI Bill benefits, including the Post-9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33) and the Montgomery GI Bill (Chapter 30). Benefits can cover tuition, fees, and a monthly housing allowance based on your program and enrollment status.

MyCAA — Military Spouse Career Advancement

MyCAA is a workforce development program that provides up to $4,000 in financial assistance for military spouses pursuing licenses, certifications, or associate degrees in portable career fields — including cosmetology and esthetics. If you are the spouse of an active-duty service member in pay grades E-1 through E-5, W-1 through W-2, or O-1 through O-2, you may be eligible.

Tuition Assistance — Active Duty

Active-duty service members from all branches of the military may be eligible for Tuition Assistance (TA), which can cover up to 100% of tuition costs (up to $250 per semester hour and $4,500 per fiscal year). Each branch administers its own TA program — contact your Education Services Officer (ESO) or counselor for branch-specific details and approval.

  • Can be combined with other aid sources

Applying for military education benefits is straightforward. Follow these steps to get started:

    Confirm Your Eligibility

    Contact our VA certifying official to verify which military education benefit you qualify for — GI Bill, MyCAA, or Tuition Assistance.

  2. 02

    Obtain Your Certificate of Eligibility

    For GI Bill benefits, apply through the VA website (va.gov) or call 1-888-GIBILL-1 to receive your Certificate of Eligibility (COE).

  3. 03

    Submit Your Documentation

    Bring your COE or approval documentation to our financial aid office. We'll work directly with the VA or your branch's education office.

  4. 04

    Enroll & Begin Your Program

    Once your benefits are certified, you're ready to start. Our admissions team will guide you through every step of the enrollment process.
